Andrea has been involved with Dignity Group since 1988. With a background in general nursing having trained at Guy's Hospital she made the transition to working alongside people who have learning disabilities. She has developed her practice undertaking a number of specialist training courses & an MBA in Management for Health & Social Services at Chichester University. Andrea is a founding trustee for two charities:- Lifecentre, offering support and counselling for people who have experienced sexual trauma and The Lifespring Foundation (Africa) offering empowering solutions in Zambia.
Married with two children she is an active member of a local church, loves horseriding & dog walking and has a passion for anything creative.
Her vision for Dignity is to develop innovative services that offer real solutions to enable people to be who they can be.
Tim Salmon - General Manager
Tim came to Dignity Group in 1991 from a background in Psychiatric Nursing & Social Work.
Since that time he has worked with Andrea overseeing the service delivery and smooth running of the organisation.
Tim lives in Chichester with his wife & also runs the local community magazine, The Valley Diary. He has a passion for all things technological particularly mobile phone technology.
His vision for Dignity Group is to provide a valued lifestyle to people with learning difficulties within the structure of SRV (Social Role Valorisation), a cause he has championed for many years.
Clive Lucas - Residential Service Manager
Clive joined us in 1997. He has a Diploma in Social Work & also in Higher Education & many years experience of working with people who have learning disabilities. He previously managed a local authority owned residential care home in West Sussex & has been a field social worker in Hampshire. Clive currently overseas the residential service provision for Dignity and is actively involved in supporting and training Social Work students who come to us on placement.
Clive & his family live in Selsey where he is a leading light in the local amateur dramatic society & the pub quiz team. His "end of the pier" charity performances are the talk of the town!
His vision for Dignity Group is to support people to have their voice heard in making choices for everyday living. He is a champion for advocacy.
Jonathan Satherley - Singleton Liaison Manager
Jonathan joined us in 2003 with a degree in Health & Learning Disabilities. He has been actively involved in developing our services for people who have challenging behaviour & has championed the cause for individuals to receive extra one to one staff support funding. Jonathan has regularly attended Provider Forums & the West Sussex Partnership Board and has enabled us to link with other organisations to network and share good practice.
Living with his wife in Chichester he has a passion for football, home-brew, walking the dog & going to the cinema.
His vision for Dignity Group is to develop life enhancing services for people with complex & challenging needs.
Paul Whitby - Manager Supported Living
Paul joined us in 1996 from a varied background including serving in the RAF. Specialising in supporting people in our small registered homes in Chichester, Paul was at the forefront of developing the current Suported Living project. He has championed enabling people to live in their own tenancies and is actively involved in developing real opportunities for people to live ordinary lives in their local communities. He and his team have developed an innovative project called "The Bolt Hole" developing daytime activities such as woodwork & horticulture. He has also supported people to find appropriate work experience placements within local organisations.
Paul & his wife live in Yapton & can often be found walking (or being dragged along by) their dogs or bird-watching. His sardonic northern humour makes us all chuckle.
Pam Anstee - Senior Adminstrator
Stationed at the Coach House since 1997 Pam has been supporting the smooth running of all the adminstrative tasks involved in the operation of Dignity Group. Her unending enthusiasm for bargain hunting has enabled us to find ways to stretch our limited resource budgets to enable people to have greater opportunities.
Pam & her husband live in Chichester where they can be seen riding around on their Harley Davidson or exploring the countryside from their motorhome. Pam's endless tales of the exploits of her granny are the stuff of legend!
Jamie McGrory - Systems & Compliance Manager
With a roving role across all of the Dignity Group sites Jamie has returned to us, after a break for a couple of years in another industry, to ensure that our systems, processes and procedures enable us to deliver a service with quality & good practice at its heart.
Jamie is a young family man who in his spare time is studying for an open univerity degree in Maths & Statistics. Now based in Felpham he enjoys football, teaches Ju-Jitsu & occasionally can be found playing his guitar.
